According to LA Weekly, Randy is one of the people listed as appearing in the upcoming book Canyon of Dreams: The Magic and Music of Laurel Canyon Photo Book and History by Harvey Kubernik. Here's the relevant snippet:

"Kubernik's book, which comes out on October 6, features a forward by (who else?) Ray Manzarek, and an afterward by Lou Adler. Among other exclusives, according to the press info:

Watch Out for Randy Imposter

As some of you may already know, there is a man who impersonates Randy Meisner in an attempt to solicit gifts and money. This man frequents casinos, mostly in the Las Vegas area. If you are approached by this man and he claims to be Randy Meisner, please report him. He is a con man.
